Our state of being is always changing. We may be happy, sad, excited, depressed, anxious, and the list goes on and on. We have the ability to impact our own state of being.
In this episode of my Daily Success Strategies podcast I focus on three areas of our life that can not only impact, but intentionally change our state.
- Pattern of Physiology — This is the way that we use our body. We can change our state of being simply by changing our posture, or the way we move our body.
- The Language We Use — Our language can magnify or lower the intensity of our state. This includes both the language we use with other as well as the language we use with ourselves, or our self-talk. Get a FREE copy of my e-book, Fear to Fuel, HERE. - Focus & Belief — What are you focusing on, and what do you believe it to mean? You cannot keep feeding the thing that you want to change by focusing on it and expect it to change. Whatever you focus on, you’ll get.
These are three powerful strategies that can change your state of being. But if you wait until you are in the state that you want to change, it will be difficult to make happen. If you are dealing with anxiety and at that moment tell yourself that you should change your physiology, language, or focus, it will be very difficult to do.
To be effective at this, you must make a decision right now. Make the decision that when you find yourself in a state that you do not want to be in, you will do these things. Don’t wait until that moment.
Imagine yourself in the state you’d like to be in right now. Recognize your posture and how you move. How do you talk to yourself and others? What are you focusing on? By being aware of these things when you are in a good state, it makes it easier to change your physiology, language, and focus to match this state when you want to make a change.
